The 2023 edition particularly highlights artificial intelligence, quantum and robotics
More than 100,000 visitors are expected to attend VivaTech this week, with 2,800 exhibitors ready to present their innovations. Last year, the event attracted 91,000 people, a figure that we hope to match this year. Although this seventh edition is not focused on a specific theme, artificial intelligence occupies a prominent place in discussions, conferences and stands.
The Deputy Minister in charge of digital transition and telecommunications, Jean-Noël Barrot, inaugurated the event by highlighting the government's efforts to strengthen the French Tech ecosystem, dear to Emmanuel Macron. He highlighted the creation of hundreds of start-ups, and recalled that France now has nearly 30 unicorns and has generated 500,000 direct jobs across the country, making it one of the most dynamic ecosystems in the world.
Jean-Noël Barrot also spoke about the next generation of entrepreneurs, which will be marked by renowned scientific figures, such as Alain Aspect, Nobel Prize winner in Physics and co-founder of Pasqal, a French start-up developing a quantum computer.
Beyond the great successes, VivaTech is also the place where many young companies seek to provide concrete solutions to various problems.
