Background and needs

Open CNP, CNP Assurances' CVC fund and the group's main innovation vehicle, has added 3 verticals to its scope: CSR, Climate and Human Resources. Open CNP seeks support in the exploration of the first two verticals, by identifying several innovation trends relevant to the group's businesses. Two trends were then studied in depth: Climate Risk Modeling and the transformation of reactive insurance to proactive insurance.

Actions and deliverables

• Framing the need, the use case and the scope
• Research innovation trends on topics relevant to CNP issues
• Illustration by different use cases of startups or partnerships between large groups and startups
• A detailed presentation of the 2 strategic trends analyzed from market, regulatory and technological perspectives
• A summary and numerical presentation of the 5 major trends identified

Results

The mission carried out by RaiseLab allowed Open CNP to:

• To have an analytical framework and in-depth recommendations on two strategic themes for the group;
• To prioritize areas of transformation and to feed the work of the trades over the coming years.
