Background and needs

To illustrate the key role played by startups in its innovation strategy, Danone launched an open innovation platform welcoming challenges relevant to different business units globally. The Danone Data/Open Innovation team, based in France and Singapore, seeks to identify digital tools and solutions to remedy diagnostic errors in AMC (cow's milk allergy) in young children, the most common cause of food allergy in the pediatric population.

Actions and deliverables

  • Identification of 4 strategic topics: home kits, health professionals, digital companions and actors in the health ecosystem
  • Targeted sourcing: research, selection and pre-qualification of relevant solutions to improve both the diagnosis of AMC in pediatric populations and the overall parent-child experience
  • Stakeholder alignment and projections: identification of common key performance indicators and partnership opportunities for identified solutions
